SEATTLE - The Puget Sound Regional Council is encouraging people to comment on a project new to the Regional Transportation Improvement Program that is recommended to receive $325,843 in PSRC funds. The public comment period will run from January 8 - 28, 2016. PSRC's Executive Board is scheduled to approve this project on January 28.
The project is the design and engineering for the remodel of Skagit Transit's newly acquired maintenance facility. The transit agency provides commuter services to the Puget Sound region.
The funding is available due to the annual adjustment of Federal Transit Administration funds, which are awarded to the region's transit agencies based on services provided to the region.

PSRC develops policies and coordinates decisions about regional growth, transportation and economic development planning within King, Pierce, Snohomish and Kitsap counties. The Council is composed of over 80 entities, including all four counties, cities and towns, ports, state and local transportation agencies and Tribal governments within the region.
This public notice of public involvement activities and time established for public review and comments on the TIP development process will satisfy the FTA's Program of Projects requirements.
