Identification of focus areas for developing the next long-range regional transportation plan will be the main discussion topic at the upcoming Transportation Policy Board meeting.
PSRC is required to develop a long-range regional transportation plan every four years. Work will begin on the Regional Transportation Plan in 2020 and continue through 2022.
In addition, the board will be briefed on a new feasibility analysis of an east-west intercity passenger rail system for Washington State by representatives of All Aboard Washington, consider an amendment to the current Regional Transportation Plan, and review the impacts of I-976 on project delivery for PSRC’s federal funds.
