Planning for better access to transit leads the agenda for the Transportation Policy Board meeting on March 11.
Access to transit is one of six identified key policy focus areas for the development of the Regional Transportation Plan. Access to transit looks at how people get to transit services, including bicycle and pedestrian facilities, connecting transit routes, park and rides, rideshare and other on-demand services, as well as supportive roadway infrastructure.
For the access to transit discussion, board members will meet in small Zoom breakout groups. These sessions are open to the public, but will not be web streamed as simultaneous discussions will take place. Call-in instructions will be provided during the meeting.
In addition, the board will welcome Reema Griffith of the Washington Transportation Commission for a presentation on its road usage charge assessment submitted to the Legislature last January.
The board will also be briefed on two other Regional Transportation Plan topics: Transportation Demand Management and the bicycle and pedestrian work program.
