New economic development funding available

The Economic Development Administration has announced $3 billion in supplemental funding available from the American Rescue Plan to help communities recover from the economic impacts of COVID-19.

The goals of the program are to accelerate recovery, build more resilient local economies, improve equity and support community-led economic development.

EDA is making the funding available based on several focus areas:

Business recovery and future industry resiliency have also emerged as key issues in the update of the Regional Economic Strategy.

PSRC wants to hear from individuals about what would help people on a more personal level to help inform the strategy.
