New opportunity to plan stormwater parks in the region

Interested in creating a stormwater park in your community?  PSRC is offering a technical assistance opportunity to plan up to four new stormwater parks.

Approximately $35,000 of technical assistance will be provided by a qualified consultant team for each of the four parks. These are parks that treat stormwater and also offer a recreation component like trails or a play area.

Examples of existing stormwater parks in the region include Manchester Stormwater Park in Kitsap County and the Stormwater Wetland Park in Arlington. You can see more profiles of stormwater parks on our Stormwater Parks web page.

Jurisdictions, Tribes, special districts, or agencies within King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Kitsap counties with the ability to develop a stormwater park and provide public access are eligible for technical assistance.

Partnerships are strongly encouraged. The lead applicant should be the landowner. The deadline for applications is September 15.
