The Puget Sound Regional Council is developing a new Regional Transportation Plan. This Engagement Hub can be used to follow the plan from development to adoption.
The Transportation Policy Board released the draft RTP for public comment from December 15, 2025, to February 2, 2026. PSRC reviewed the feedback, categorized the comments, and crafted responses, which were shared with commenters and PSRC’s boards. Comments and staff responses can be found on the What We Heard page.
The documents linked below have been edited to reflect public comments and board direction provided at their April meetings.
You may still share your thoughts on the plan by providing written public comment to the upcoming General Assembly on May 28, 2026. Email comments to srogers@psrc.org or mail them to Sheila Rogers, PSRC, 1201 Third Avenue, Suite 500, Seattle, WA 98101. Comments must be received by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
A blueprint for our growing transportation network.

The Draft Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) sets a course for maintaining and expanding our transportation network, to ensure residents and goods can travel easily throughout the region. The plan is built on six foundations identified by PSRC's Transportation Policy Board and our region's communities:
- Maintain and preserve the existing transportation system
- Create a multimodal system that works for everyone, no matter how they get around
- Promote a safe and healthy transportation system
- Address Regional Climate Goals
- Evaluate progress toward plan goals
- Develop a practical financial strategy to identify revenue sources and cover costs
