In 2015, the Transportation Futures Task Force conducted a rigorous and comprehensive assessment of how best to ensure transportation and transit systems meet the challenges of a growing population and a dynamic economy for the next 30 years and beyond.
The Task Force made recommendations for securing a better transportation funding system to invest in local, county, and state roads, bridges, and bus, ferry, and rail transit systems to support regional economic growth, environmental stewardship, and equity.
The Task Force was an independent advisory group of broadly representative civic leadership in the central Puget Sound region. Their recommendations were published in 2016. The report is linked below.
