Over 150 public works professionals gathered this month to keep transportation projects moving on pace with federal funds.

The summit, held at Green River College, is part of ongoing management of federal funds, led by PSRC and the state DOT, to ensure that the region puts every available Federal Highway Administration dollar to work, every year.
Meeting project delivery targets not only keeps transportation projects moving, it also makes the region eligible for additional federal funds from places that fail to deliver on all of their funds.
Recognizing both the importance of and challenges to obligating funds and meeting annual delivery targets, the summit provided participants with helpful information for achieving success.
State and federal partners provided guidance on the requirements of delivering federally funded projects. Staff from the City of Kent and the City of Tacoma shared their perspectives and experiences with successful project delivery.
